John Flores
As a second generation hairstylist, John has been around the industry his entire life. John's natural ability and passion to cut and style men's hair began to surface in his younger years at the tender age of 16. His passion for cutting, styling, and educating continues to this day.
While living in New Zealand from 2006 to 2009, John began his formal training as an apprentice at the award winning salon Zaibatsu Hair Art. It was there that John was surrounded and taught the creativity and uniqueness of European influenced cuts, colors, and styles. While at Zaibatsu Hair Art, John styled male models for fashion shows, worked on set for photo shoots, and assisted the owner over the course of his tenure.
In 2009, upon returning to the states, John approached one of Saratoga's finest salons, James Craig Haircolor and Design, where he earned the rare opportunity to become an apprentice. From 2009 to 2012, John accomplished and received advanced training at the Academy for Salon Professionals, completed the East Bay Counties Barber & Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program, and received over 3 years of intense training at the salon. John also attended numerous product knowledge and advanced cutting and color courses offered by Redken, Kerastase, and Shu Uemera.
